TOPSoccer

We’re making soccer available to everyone, including young athletes with disabilities.

About TOPSoccer

TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a US Youth Soccer community-based training and team placement program for young athletes with cognitive, emotional, or physical disabilities. The program is open to players ages 4–19 and is designed to bring the opportunity of learning and playing soccer to any young person who wants to experience the game.

At Concord Soccer, we believe that soccer belongs to everyone who wants to play it, and TOPSoccer is how we live out that belief. Our volunteer coaches and Team Buddies create an inclusive, supportive environment where every player experiences the joy of the game, the value of teamwork, and the confidence that comes from being part of a community.

Whether your child is just learning the basics or has played soccer before, there’s a place for them in TOPSoccer. We concentrate on development, training, and providing meaningful participation rather than on competition. Practices are a combination of skill training and small-sided games designed to build confidence and keep the focus on fun. For players who cannot participate in a traditional team setting, we offer a skills-focused program that is equally rewarding and meaningful.

Practice Format

Practices combine skill development with small-sided games and drills. The focus is on having fun, building confidence, and developing soccer skills in a low-pressure environment. For players who cannot participate in a traditional team setting, we offer a skills-focused program that is equally rewarding.

Team Buddies

One of the special aspects of TOPSoccer is our Team Buddies program. Team Buddies are volunteer players from our Soccer Development Program and Representative Teams who donate their time to work with our TOPSoccer athletes. Team Buddies provide mentorship, encouragement, and friendship both on and off the field.

If you know a young player who would make a great Team Buddy, we’d love to hear about them. Reach out through our contact form.

Concord Soccer’s coaches are selected for their technical credentials and their character. They are mentors first. The club actively supports their professional development, including coaching education and licensing, and holds every coach to the same standards of communication, conduct, and commitment.
