The Concord Way
How we show up, on the field and off.
What is The Concord Way?
Our Standard of Excellence
The Concord Way is the standard by which our players, parents, and coaches carry themselves. It is the foundation of our culture and the promise we make to every family who joins Concord Soccer.
The Concord Way means competing with passion and losing with class. It means respecting the game, the officials, the opponents, and each other. It means that what happens on the field reflects who we are off it. It means showing up for your teammates, your coaches, and your community. It means that winning is important, and how we win matters just as much.
The Five Pillars of The Concord Way
Our Core Principles

Community
We support each other on and off the field. We celebrate wins together and learn from losses together. We show up for one another, because that is what community does. Soccer is a vehicle for connection, growth, and belonging.

Accessibility
Concord Soccer is a nonprofit organization, and that shapes everything we do. Every dollar that comes in goes back into the fields, the coaching, and the programs. Our fees are among the lowest in the region because we believe that great soccer should be available to families at every income level. We are committed to making soccer accessible to all.

Development
We believe in the whole player and the whole person. Our focus is on development over winning, on growth over glory. We actively encourage participation in other sports, arts, music, and extracurriculars, because our goal is to help young people grow into confident, capable, compassionate people who happen to love the game. Soccer is the vehicle. Character is the destination.

Excellence
Excellence is about effort, integrity, and showing up as your best self every single day. It is about striving to improve, holding yourself to a high standard, and refusing to settle for mediocrity. Excellence means being a good teammate, a respectful opponent, and a person of character. It means doing the right thing when no one is watching.

Integrity
Integrity is the foundation of everything we do. It means being honest, keeping your word, and acting with honor even when it is difficult. Our coaches are mentors, not just tacticians. Our leadership is visible and accountable. We compete hard while maintaining our values. Integrity is not negotiable at Concord Soccer.
Our Core Principles
What It Means in Practice
On the Field
Players who embrace The Concord Way show respect for the game, the officials, and their opponents. They work hard, support their teammates, and handle both victory and defeat with grace. They understand that every practice is an opportunity to improve, and every match is a chance to represent their club with pride.
In the Stands
Parents and families who embrace The Concord Way are positive, supportive, and respectful. They cheer for their team and for good soccer. They understand that coaches are doing their best and that referees are human. They model good sportsmanship for their children and contribute to a culture where everyone feels welcome and valued.
In the Community
Coaches, staff, and volunteers who embrace The Concord Way are mentors first and tacticians second. They invest in the development of young people, not just their soccer skills. They hold themselves to a high standard of conduct and professionalism. They create an environment where every player feels seen, supported, and challenged to grow.
Our Commitment to You
Concord Soccer has been living by these principles since 1979. We are committed to treating every player with respect and dignity. We are committed to developing young people of character. We are committed to building a community where soccer is a vehicle for growth, belonging, and joy.
The Concord Way is something we live, every single day.
