Program Selection & Fit
It depends on your child’s age, experience level, and what you’re looking for. Our Soccer Development Program (SDP) is perfect for recreational players ages 4-14 who want to learn the game in a fun, supportive environment. If your child is interested in competitive play, our Representative Teams are for ages 8-18. TOPSoccer is designed for young athletes with cognitive, emotional, or physical disabilities. We also offer seasonal clinics and camps for skill development. Visit each program page to learn more, or reach out through our contact form.
Recreational soccer (SDP) focuses on skill development, fun, and building confidence in a supportive environment. There are no tryouts, and players of all abilities are welcome. Competitive soccer (Representative Teams) requires tryouts and features licensed coaches, more intensive training, and travel to tournaments. Both are valuable experiences, and the right choice depends on your child’s goals and commitment level.
Yes, many players participate in multiple programs. For example, a child might play in SDP during the fall and then try out for Representative Teams in the spring. We encourage families to explore different programs to find what works best for them.
No experience necessary! Our SDP program is designed for players of all levels, from complete beginners to experienced players. We have age-appropriate groups and coaches who are skilled at working with new players. Start with SDP, and if your child loves the game, you can explore other programs later.
Age Groups & Registration
We serve players from ages 4 through adult. SDP is for ages 4-14. Representative Teams are for ages 8-18. TOPSoccer is for ages 4-19. Our Adult League is for ages 18 and up. Clinics and camps vary by offering. Check each program page for specific age groups and registration windows.
Registration windows vary by program and season. SDP typically opens in summer for the fall season and in winter for the spring season. Winter Futsal registration opens seasonally for its winter session. Representative Teams hold one tryout annually in the spring for the following Fall-Spring season. TOPSoccer registers year-round. Adult League accepts registrations throughout the year. Check the announcements section on our homepage or visit individual program pages for current registration dates.
Fees vary by program. Some programs may have registration fees, while Representative Team tryouts typically do not require a registration fee. Players who try out and accept an offer to join a Representative Team will then be responsible for applicable team dues. Visit each program page for specific pricing and fee information, or reach out through our contact form if you have questions about costs or affordability.
Competitive Programs & Tryouts
Representative Team tryouts are held once a year near the end of spring for the upcoming Fall-Spring season. For example, tryouts held in April or May 2026 were for the 2026-2027 season, which includes the following fall, winter, and spring seasons. Players are evaluated on technical skill, tactical understanding, and attitude. Tryouts are competitive but fair, and our coaching staff looks for players who are committed to development and embody the Concord Way. Visit the Representative Teams page for current tryout dates and registration information.
Not making a team is a learning opportunity. We encourage players to continue developing in SDP, attend our clinics and camps, and try again at the next tryout window. Many players need time to develop before they’re ready for competitive play, and that’s completely normal.
Yes. Our Representative Teams are organized by age group and competitive level. We have teams at different tiers to ensure players are matched with appropriate competition. This allows players to develop at their own pace while staying challenged.
Special Programs
TOPSoccer (The Outreach Program for Soccer) is a US Youth Soccer program designed for young athletes with cognitive, emotional, or physical disabilities. It focuses on development, training, and meaningful participation in a supportive, inclusive environment. TOPSoccer is free to register, and we welcome players ages 4-19. We offer seasonal clinics and camps focused on skill development. These include SDP Academy winter sessions for top SDP players, Rep Prep clinics for players interested in competitive soccer, and Representative Friday clinics during the season. Camps and clinics are announced on our homepage when registration opens. Check the Clinics & Camps page for details.
Yes! Our Adult League is a year-round, all-levels coed pickup program for players 18 and older. No tryouts, no pressure, just the love of the game. Players can register at any time throughout the year. Learn more on the Adult League page.
Coaching & Development
Our coaches are experienced, licensed professionals and dedicated volunteers who are committed to player development and the Concord Way. Many have played at high levels themselves and bring that passion to their coaching. All coaches complete background checks and training on safe sport practices. Learn more about our coaching staff on the Concord Leadership page.
The Concord Way is the standard by which our players, parents, and coaches carry themselves. It means competing with passion and losing with class, respecting the game and each other, and showing up for your teammates and community. Learn more on The Concord Way page.
Volunteering & Getting Involved
We need volunteers in many roles: coaches, field liners, committee members, and more. Whether you have coaching experience or just a passion for soccer, there’s a role for you. Visit the Volunteers page to learn about opportunities and how to get started.
No. We have many volunteer roles that don’t require coaching experience. Field liners, equipment managers, committee members, and administrative volunteers are all essential to our programs. Visit the Volunteers page for a complete list of opportunities.
